Messages and SOS don't reach anyone
The other phone must have Kopik or bitchat, with the app open: iOS cuts these connections in the background. Check that Bluetooth is on and that Kopik is allowed to use Bluetooth and the local network, in Settings > Kopik. The range is a few dozen metres, more when other phones relay.
The map is empty without a network
Only areas downloaded in advance are available offline. Download them from the map's offline maps button while you are connected.
The assistant doesn't offer an AI model
Downloadable models need an iPhone with at least 6 GB of memory (iPhone 13 Pro or later for the 1.3 GB model, 8 GB of memory for the 2.7 GB model). Otherwise, the assistant uses Apple Intelligence on compatible iPhones or searches the built-in guides.
My close contact doesn't appear
You are linked as soon as your close contact has installed Kopik and opened your link, or entered your code, and your two phones have been within range, directly or through other phones.
The position stays empty
Allow location in Settings > Kopik, then go outside: GPS needs a view of the sky and can take a few minutes without a network.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app from your iPhone. Nothing is held on a server, so there is no account to close. See the Privacy page for details.
